Scoring Rules in Fantasy Hockey

Learn the scoring rules for each position and how they affect your team’s performance.

  1. Goals (Goals)
  • Forwards/Defensemen: 3 points for each goal
  • Goalies: 5 points for each goal they score
  1. Assists (Assists)
  • Forwards/Defensemen: 2 points for each assist
  • Goalies: 0 points for assists
  1. Blocked Shots (Blocked Shots)
  • Forwards/Defensemen: 1 point for each blocked shot
  1. Wins (Wins – Goalies)
  • Goalies: 6 points for each win
  1. Saves (Saves – Goalies)
  • Goalies: 0.2 points for each save
  1. Penalties (Penalties)
  • Forwards/Defensemen: -1 point for each penalty (2 minutes)
  • Goalies: -1 point for each penalty (2 minutes)
  1. Empty Net Goals (Empty Net Goals)
  • Forwards/Defensemen: 2 points for scoring an empty net goal
  1. Plus/Minus (Plus/Minus)
  • Forwards/Defensemen: +1 point for each “plus” (a player earns a point for being on the ice when their team scores and loses a point when the opposing team scores while they’re on the ice)
  • Goalies: +1 point for each “plus” if the team wins by at least one goal
  1. Penalty Shots (Penalty Shots)
  • Forwards/Defensemen: 3 points for each successful penalty shot
  • Goalies: 5 points for stopping a penalty shot
